Major sportsbooks are putting a $200 betting limit on wagers on individual pitches after two pitchers were indicted in a gambling scheme. Major League Baseball also announced pitches will be kept out of parlays.
Cleveland Guardians pitchers Luis Ortiz and Emmanuel Clase have been indicted in connection with an alleged scheme to throw balls during games so bettors could wager intentionally.
The MLB hopes that reducing the amount people can win will reduce attempts at manipulation.
