Maria’s Field of Hope in Avon that was planted earlier this summer and is now in bloom. Visitors are now welcome to explore the 18-acre field alongside Interstate 90, off of Jaycox Rd, with the entrance and parking accessible off Middleton Drive.
ABOUT THE FIELD: The field was inspired by the memory and spirit of Maria McNamara, planted as a way to love and honor courageous children battling cancer and those we have lost. Donations at the field directly fund our foundation’s efforts to provide childhood cancer patients with the support they desperately need, by reversing the tragic lack of funding and fueling the most meaningful brain cancer research for kids.
ABOUT THE FOUNDATION: The Prayers From Maria Foundation first planted the Sunflower field in 2014 to gracefully draw attention to the lack of funding for childhood cancer. Our efforts over the years have resulted in over $12 million going to the fight to end childhood cancer.
Walk the field from sunup to sundown, rain or shine. While there, visit Maria’s Shop is open every day from 10:00 AM – dusk, per volunteer availability.
