Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a racist attack against a Black teenager at a subway station in Brooklyn, per NY Daily News.

According to the New York Police Department, a group of five to nine white males attacked the teenage victim on Monday (March 24) at the Stillwell Ave. subway station in Coney Island while he was on his way to school.

The white mob confronted the teenager on the mezzanine level, hurling the N-word, striking him in the head, and repeatedly punching and kicking him in his body. At one point, a banana was thrown at the victim, and one of his sneakers was stolen. The sneaker was later found in the station.

NYPD announced on Wednesday (March 26) that two teenagers, ages 14 and 16, were arrested in connection to the racist attack. It's unclear what charges the pair are facing.

The teenage victim was treated at South Brooklyn Health for minor injuries following the assault.

The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is still investigating the incident.
