A 20-year-old man was shot and killed at his home, and his twin brother has been arrested as the murder suspect.

On Friday (March 21), Kiian Hodnett was found dead at his home in LaGrange, Georgia, per WTVM.

Police said they were called to the scene for an “unknown medical call” and discovered Hodnett with multiple gunshot wounds. Hodnett’s twin, Kilas, was arrested and charged with malice murder and possession of a firearm.

It’s unclear what the motive was behind the shooting. The twins’ aunt, Shan Staples, spoke out on Facebook in the wake of her nephew’s death, suggesting that mental health struggles played a factor in the fatal incident.

“These young men are my babies. This feeling I have is not RIGHT... MEMORIES just flowing through my head as tears won’t stop rolling from my eyes… I’m HURT,” Staples said.

“These boys have been through soooooooooooo much over the years and felt as NO ONE understood them as if they were the only ones on this DARK A** PLANET CALLED EARTH, she added.

Police said they’re still investigating the incident. Hodnett was allegedly killed just moments before the 911 call was placed for the said “unknown medical” incident.
