If you recently purchased a lottery ticket in Ohio, you may want to check your numbers now as one lucky winner in the Buckeye State matched enough numbers in Saturday's (October 7) Powerball drawing to score a $1 million prize.
According to the Powerball website, the lucky ticket sold in Ohio was one of 10 to mach five numbers called during Saturday's drawing to win the $1 million prize. Other winning tickets were sold in California, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Texas and Wisconsin.

Because no tickets managed to match all six numbers during Saturday's drawing, the jackpot has risen to an estimated $1.55 billion ahead of the drawing on Monday (October 9), the third largest jackpot in the game's history.
