ESPN hockey analyst P.K. Subban is facing backlash after making a fatphobic quip about Lizzo.

Subban, a former NHL star, made the comment while discussing the Toronto Maple Leaf's loss to the Florida Panthers in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, per the HuffPost.

Subban's colleague John Buccigross kicked off the conversation by suggesting the Maple Leafs "pack a lunch" to prepare for Game 2.

“Maybe they need to pack a Lizzo-sized lunch,” Subban joked in response.

Social media users quickly called out Subban for his "fatphobic," "gross," and "terrible" quip.

"Sis Pk Subban really just say “Lizzo-sized lunch? That’s… not acceptable. That’s fatphobic," one Twitter user wrote.

"Terrible comment made by PK Subban about Lizzo… be better @ESPN," another user wrote.

Subban hasn't spoken out about his comment, per the HuffPost.
