All good things must come to an end at some point. Unfortunately, that sentiment rings true even for our favorite television series. Earlier this year, Issa Rae and Prentice Penny let fans know that Insecure would come to a close after the show's upcoming fifth season.

“Prentice and I are so grateful that HBO believed in our show from the beginning and kept faith in us to see our vision through the end,” Rae said.

“We always planned to tell this story through five seasons, but we couldn’t have made it this far without the tremendous support of our audience. I feel blessed beyond measure to bring our characters’ stories to an end, on-screen at least.”

After making their announcement, Rae and Penny got to work on the show's upcoming season. With Jay Ellis, Yvonne Orji, Natasha Rothwell and company back together, fans will finally know the answer to the following question: Will Issa and Lawrence end up together?

Well, it appears that fans will have answers to those questions in the coming weeks. Issa Rae kicked off her weekend by sharing photos from her last day on set with the cast of Insecure.

"I'm definitely ready to let it go," Rae said about Insecure's final season during a recent interview.

"I knew that I wanted to end it after five seasons. And I feel like I'm really proud of this season that we're shooting now. It's so much fun, and it's made me appreciate the show in a different way."

There's no release date yet for the show's fifth season, but it will arrive in the coming weeks. It's been a good run and it'll be fun to watch the final season.
